First Available Start Date
Whether "today" is available as a start date depends on what time it is when you set up your donation.
- 🕚 Before 12:00 PM (local time): Today's date will appear as an option.
- 🕐 After 12:00 PM (local time): Your earliest option will be tomorrow (or a later date of your choosing).
How Far in Advance You Can Schedule
Want more flexibility? You can also schedule your start date further in advance:
- Weekly Frequency: Up to 5 calendar days in advance
- Monthly Frequency: Up to 30 calendar days in advance
When Your Card Will Be Charged
If You Select Today
🗓️ Your first charge will process later that same day.
- If you're setting up your gift in the morning, it'll typically go through during our morning processing window (Central time).
- If you start a bit later in the morning, it may process shortly after that window closes.
If You Select Tomorrow (or a Future Date)
🗓️ Your first charge will process on your chosen start date, generally between 6:00–7:00 AM CT.
After that first charge, your donation will continue automatically according to your chosen schedule. No further action needed on your part!
Moving From Another Giving Platform?
If you have a recurring gift set up on your organization's previous giving platform:
- Cancel your existing recurring gift on the other platform.
- On Overflow, choose a start date as close as possible to your next scheduled gift. (This helps make sure you're not charged twice for the same donation!)
