Through our partnership with DAFpay™ by Chariot, granting funds from your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) through Overflow is quick and easy — taking less than 30 seconds!

🗓️ What Happens Next?
🔑 Step 1: Click the "Donate Donor Advised Fund" button on your organization's Overflow donation page.
- This will direct you to a page where you can begin the DAF donation process.
- You can enter a specific amount or choose from preset options.
🔑 Step 2: Select your gift designation.

Your nonprofit may also offer the option to dedicate your donation or add a message.
- 📞 If you forget to add this information or if the option isn’t available, you can contact your organization directly to ensure your gift is properly designated.
🔑 Step 3: Log in using your phone number or email address.
- Similar to accessing your Donor Profile, you will receive a one-time verification code to login. (You will never need to create a password!)
- 👉🏽 If this is your first time donating through Overflow, you'll be prompted to complete your personal details to set up your Donor Profile.
- This information must match the details on file with your DAF provider.
🔑 Step 4: Search for and select the DAF provider you want to use for your donation.
- Once you’re logged in, click the DAFpay™ button to get started!

- ❌ If your DAF provider doesn’t support express grant requests:
- Submit the grant recommendation directly through your provider.
- Contact your organization to let them know to expect your grant and to ensure you're properly acknowledged for your donation.
- ⚡️ We recommend reaching out to your DAF provider’s support team to request DAFpay connectivity. This will simplify your future donations!

🔑 Step 5: Log in to your DAF account via DAFpay™.
- Log in securely to your DAF provider using your account credentials.
- 🧾 Submitting your DAF grant request through DAFpay™ is just like submitting it through your DAF provider—but with the added benefit of your organization being able to easily record and track your donation!
- 🔄 Chariot does not currently support recurring DAF donations. When you connect to your DAF provider, you authorize a one-time connection to submit the grant through DAFpay™.

🔑 Step 6: Enter your donation details.
- At the top of the screen, you can easily view your DAF balance and select the account you’d like to donate from.
- Your donation amount will be automatically populated, along with your name and contact information.

🔑 Step 7: Give!
- After reviewing your DAF grant recommendation, click “Donate” to confirm your donation details.
- You’ll then be redirected back to the Overflow giving flow, where you can click “Submit” — and enjoy the celebration confetti! 🎊
🗓️ What Happens Next?

📌 Donor Profile: In the Contributions module, the donation will first appear as “Initiated.” Once the funds are released, the status will update to “Confirmed.” From start to finish, the process can take about 4–6 weeks.
- Once you recommend a grant, the DAF provider follows a 3-step process to ensure the donation is processed accurately and securely.
- Each step typically takes 7–10 business days, depending on how quickly information is reviewed and confirmed.

🗺️ DAFpay™ Tracking ID: Once you complete your DAF grant with DAFpay™, you’ll receive an email with a unique tracking number. Use this number to track the status of your gift.
- Can’t find the email? Reach out to your organization or contact our Support team at support@overflow.co, and we can provide the tracking ID for you.
- You can also check the status directly on your DAF provider’s website.
