Managing Your Pledge

How Do I Adjust My Pledge Amount?

  1. Recurring Plan — These pledges are set up with a fixed amount and frequency at the time of creation, so the recurring gift can't be adjusted retroactively.
  2. Non-Recurring Plan — You can update your pledge amount anytime in your Donor Profile. Simply click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to your pledge and select Edit Pledge Amount from the dropdown menu.

How Do I Cancel My Pledge?

You can cancel your pledge anytime in your Donor Profile. Simply click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) next to your pledge and select Cancel Pledge from the dropdown menu.

  • ⚠️ Note: If you set up a recurring plan, make sure to cancel the recurring gift first.
  • Any progress made toward your pledge will still appear, even after cancellation.

Can I Consolidate Multiple Pledges?

Recurring and non-recurring pledges function a little differently from each other. Our Support team can help find the best solution for you! 💡

  1. Recurring plans can't be combined, but any existing pledge progress can be transferred to a new non-recurring plan.
  2. Donations from a recurring plan can be transferred to a non-recurring plan, but one-time gifts can't be applied to a recurring plan.

How Can I See My Pledge Fulfillment Type?

Every pledge is set up as either a recurring plan or a non-recurring plan. If you're not sure which type yours is, our Support team can look it up for you!

Can I Switch My Recurring Plan to a Non-Recurring Plan?

  • 🚫 The pledge fulfillment type is locked in at setup and can't be changed once a pledge is created.
  • If you'd like more flexibility, the best path is to create a new pledge with the same total amount and switch to a non-recurring plan. Once that's done, reach out to our Support team, and we'll transfer your donations over to the new pledge!

 


Troubleshooting

Why Does My Pledge Not Appear in My Account?

If you received a confirmation email, it's possible that a duplicate Donor Profile was created, or you haven't given an online donation through Overflow yet.

  • Please reach out to our Support team with your email address, phone number, and any other names your account might be under. We'll make sure everything is sorted out!

What Do I Do if My Pledge Progress Isn't Accurate?

Please let our Support team know which donation(s) weren't applied, if your accounts were recently merged, or any other details you think might be helpful. We can also resync your pledge progress on our end!

If My Donor Profiles Are Merged, Will My Pledge Transfer to the Primary Account?

Yes! Once the merge is complete, please contact our Support team if your pledge progress isn't up-to-date. We'll make sure your donations are applied accordingly. ✅
